Scrapping Day

After having a turn with some of my supplies the suggestion was made that I put together a class for our kids during the school holidays. It was a lot of fun seeing what I could come up with. It was a fabulous day. The kids did really well with the different things and we had a lot of fun.

Time away

While I haven't had a chance to blog I haven't been idle. Before all the Christmas rush I had a chance to get away for the weekend to do some scrapping with my mum and sister. Fabulous I must say. I took the opportunity to do something off the page my ribbon storage box. I am not much of a one for off the page items but I enjoyed doing something a bit different.

I have managed to keep up with cards that I wanted to make but haven't been scrapping. I have been developing my style and got a number of pages started. These are a couple of pages that I did complete. I am looking forward to getting the others finished. Especially now I can scrap in comfort with the executive chair that I got for Christmas!

Our last birthday boy

The start of the year is a busy on for us. Only into month four and we have completed all 6 birthdays. Happy birthday to Seamus who turns 8 today. He has had a fab one that has been going since his party last weekend. With more presents over Easter when we went to see family and his presents today topped off with his choice for dinner (burgers and chips) he has had a great one! Here is the card that I made for him. Always a challenge I am up for boys cards! He is into Harry Potter and all dragons so what better stamps to use than Whiff of Joy's medieval set . I got mine from All that Scraps and Simon Says Stamp. Now I just need copics for my colouring and I would be set.

Colours: baja breeze, chocolate chip, very vanilla
Stamps: charlie and charlotte medieval (whiff of Joy), whimisical words (SU)
Finishing touches: spots and dots embossing folder (cuttlebug), silver hodgepodge hardware (SU)

Stamp Club Challenge November

This months challenge was to make a card using a circle, ribbon and a brad. Sounded simple but was a little tricky keeping to just that. I caved and added a few extra layers and used embossing to embellish. I used my newest stamps from stampn up Once upon a time. I specifically got this set to go with my Whiff of Joy medieval stamps. I love the characters and am looking forward to playing with colouring the dragon and other stamps that I got in my set. They work really well for boys cards.

Colours: pacific point, chocolate chip, really rust, white
Stamps: once upon a time (SU), Medieval collection (Whiff of Joy)
Finishing Touches: grosgrain ribbon striped - pacific point and vintage brads (SU), copper embossing powder, orange glitter
