A special occasion

It has been my intention to sell cards since I started investing in stamps. I have made some that I have sold you can see them here and here. A friend asked me for two 70th birthday cards and these are what I came up with. The first I kept fairly feminine in colour and the second I wanted something different so used some inspiration from a resene magazine.

Colour: white, old olive, rich razzleberry
Stamps: vintage labels and circle of friendship (SU)
Paper: cottage garden DSP (SU)
Finishing touches: alpha stickers (american crafts), circle scallop punch (SU), square punch, pearls (kaiser), buttons

Colour: taken with teal, white, certainly celery
Stamps: vintage labels and whimsical words (SU), storytime alpha (CDS)
Paper: esperance (kaiser)
Finishing touches: apron lace punch (fiskars), ribbon, flowers (kaiser), buttons, green thread, white embossing powder

Flower fun

I have been wanting to have a go at some felt flowers since I got templates from Chris at Scraptacular. I finally got around to it and this is what I came up with using the colours I had. With the detail in the flowers I kept the rest very simple. I love the whimsical words stamp set from stampn up

Birthday fun

Another birthday card. The box is filling up fast. I haven't done many of my boy ones. They seem to get put to the bottom of the pile even though I have some great stamp sets to use for them. I love this stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps - Monster Mash I have been using some of my papers for inspiration to get started.

Colours: taken with team, ruby red, pumpkin pie
Paper: funfair (kaiser)
Stamps: monster mash (CDS)
Rinishing touches: round tab punch, spiral punch and linen thread (SU), button, hole punch

Another attempt

I had another attempt at my graffiti grunge look with a bit more success. Here are others I have tried. Using the Kaiser papers was definitely helpful.

Colours: going gray, basic black, pumpkin pie
Paper: rewind collection (kaiser)
Stamps: All about me (kaiser)
Finishing touches: black brads and colour spritzer (SU) distress tool, large corner punch (fiskars)
