Always up for a challenge I have been getting challenges for the next month ready ahead of time instead of leaving it to the last minute which always causes stress.  The challenge this month was to create a wedding card using fabric in some way.  I don't have much in the way of fabric but found this piece so decided to see what I could come up with.

Colours: basic gray, rich razzleberry, white
Stamps:  spiced paisley, ittly bitty banners and simply serif alpha (SU), wedding mini (kaiser)
Finishing touches:  perfectly paisley embossing folder and typewriter aplpha die (cuttlebug),  stone baker's twine (the twinery), gray and white ribbons, jac paper

My new purchases from Stamp Club were all put together ready to play with and I finally got a chance to put something together. This is a card for my son who is turning 9 next month. My youngest was wearing a shirt that got me inspired with the colour and pattern.  Some fun sets that work well together.

Colours:  white, black, tempting turquoise, basic gray, going gray, wild wasabi
Stamps:  great sport and itty bitty banners (SU), background basics - retro (PTI)
Finishing touches: bitty banners framelits (SU)

Team Project Favourites @ Papertrey Ink

Over at Papertrey Ink they are gearing up for the February reveal.  It is also celebration time as it is their 6th birthday.  So there are competitions and great prizes on top of the fabulous new stamps.  This challenge is part of the introduction of the amazing design team for 2013.  Taking one of the teams favourite cards as inspiration, use at least one papertrey ink product and link up your take and you are in to win. You can enter as many times as you like just make sure each entry has a different link.  You can see my other design here.

So I chose this card by  Dawn McVey  I used the design and colours using stamps that I have for the details.  Love the way that she puts details together and the vintage feel to her projects.  Definitely looking at getting more flower stamps.

Colours:  rose red, very vanilla, old olive, kraft
Stamps: papertray and banner builders (PTI), reason to smile (SU), leaves (megilo)
Finishing touches:  banner builders die and edgers No 1 die (PTI), stitching, text paper (SU), rhinestones, pink sorbet bakers twine (the twinery), eyelet sticker

Tis the time for birthday parties.  We were invited to a pirate party so it was an easy decision to put together a card using the pirate from my Dress up Billy set from Pink Cat Studio. As I didn't have much time I used a sketch from my ideas folder {card pictures from mags that I have put together}  Once I had the patterened paper the colour combo followed.

Colours: very vanilla, baja breeze, not quite navy, early espresso, cajun craze
Stamps: billy dress up (PCS), sanded and itty bitty bits (SU), banner builder (PTI), story time alpha (CDS)
Finishing touches: stapler, spiral punch and linen thread (SU), dimensionals, black embossing powder, distressing tool, stiching

Stamp Club Challenge - February

It was my turn for hostess at stamp club last month and so my turn to come up with the challenge for the next month. It is always tricky to come up with something that everyone has access to. With Saleabration on it was a perfect inspiration for the challenge.  Use some or all of the colours, layouts or images on any of the pages.
These were the images I used.  I also stuck with the colour combo.

Colours:  very vanilla, tangerine tango, not quite navey, baja breeze
Stamps:  birthday whimsy and lots of thoughts (SU), punctuation (kelly panacci)
Finishing touches:  dazzling diamonds and spiral punch (SU),  brown sugar embossing powder (AC), denim and mandarin bakers twine (the twinery)
