Grace Taylor - Vintage paper inspiration

I always keep an eye out for bargains.  While I keep saying I don't need any more papers this set was too good to pass by.  On special and I had a discount voucher.  Just love the colour.  It started out quite differently to how I had originally planned. Sometimes I end up with something I love even more.  Love getting back into using stitching on my cards and trying different ways to use my embossing folders.

Colours: very vanilla, tempting turquoise, black
Stamps: stamp and scrap (elzybells)
Finishing touches:  patterened paper (grace taylor), DSP (SU), perfectly paisley embossing folder (cuttlebug), buttons, stitching, sheer ribbon, rhinestones
Pin It

I see red

I just love the Everyday Enchantment papers that were in this years sale-a-bration set from Stampin Up.  This card started with the DSP and grew from there.

Colours: very vanilla, riding hood red, old olive
Stamps:  bird (rosies studio), sense of time (SU)
Finishing touches:  spellbinders long classic rectangles large (nestibilities), poppy parade stitched ribbon, rhinestones,(kaiser), stitching, buttons, everyday enchantment DSP (SU), buttons

Stamp Club Challenge July

The challenge for this month is to make a card for a teenage boy.  As it is next week I didn't think I would get it done with school starting back.  That was until I realised that I already had this idea for a card that I was going to make.  It is from a Stampin Up Ideas Catalogue.  As you can see I copied it pretty much to the letter substituting the heart for the star to make it fit the teenage image I wanted.

Colours:  white, always artichoke, riding hood red, not quite navy
Stamps:  in the stars (SU), background stripes (made by me)
Finishing touches:  linen thread (SU), eyelet sticker, distressing tool, circle cutters (CM), star punch, staples, hole punch

Felt Flowers

What started out as a fairly simple card soon created a challenge as I couldn't get it to look like what I had pictured it to be. Combined with not getting things to stick it wasn't my best effort.  So when its not working I tend to go with more and this was the result.

Colours:  white, bravo burgandy, pink pirouettee, old olive, crumb cake
Stamps: friendship blooms and sanded (SU), timy tags (PTI)
Finishing touches: felt, heart die cut, button, sheer ribbon tiny tags die (PTI), linen thread and XL flower folds die (SU)

On a roll with my cards

So much easier to get creative when the ideas are already put together.  This card came together quickly as I already had the idea and the paper to use.  I always think that I have to have lots of time set aside to get anything done when really I just need to use the time I have really well.

Colours: white, baja breeze, blushing bride, early espresso
Stamps: paper tray (PTI)
Finishing touches: paper (my minds eye), baja breeze striped ribbon, beautiful wings embosslits and round tab punch (SU), rhinestones

Monochromatic magic

It has been so long since I have had a chance to get creative.  With sickness and the winter blues {my scrap corner is in the coldest space}  I haven't had the chance or the motivation.  So now things are a little more on track I just had to get back my mojo.  What better way than getting out the folder of card ideas that I had recently put together and do some CASEing (copy and share everything and clean and simple).  It certainly got the creative juices flowing and I now have some more cards to add to the collection.  So motivating.  Definitely back in the zone!

Colours: tempting turquoise, pacific point, white
Stamps: happy birthday (kaiser), background basics retro (PTI)
Finishing touches: red tag sale alpha die (cuttlebug), foam dots

Colours:  always artichoke, certainly celery, sahara sand
Stamps: happy birthday (kaiser), a little argyle (PTI)
Finishing touches: linen thread, mat pack and slit punch (SU), photo anchor and brad, tearing

Colours: regal rose, pink pirouette, white
Stamps: simply you (AE - technique tuesday), tiny tags (PTI)
Finishing touches: daisy punch (unknown), brads, rose red stitched ribbon (SU), tiny tags die (PTI), pink sorbet bakers twine (the twinery)
