Especially for you

I love creating cards for someone special. It gives me the chance to put together things that relate to them. This one was for a special crafty lady who comes up with wonderful ideas each month at stamp club. Happy birthday Cherie at Creative AddINKtion. Time to spoil you for a change.
The inspiration started from a recent purchase of Ali Edwards stamp sets. You can find them at Technique Tuesday here . I got mine through 123 stitch . Such great sentiments and I love the different fonts. I enjoyed putting it all together.

Colours: baja breeze, calypso coral, blush blossom
Stamps: simply you (technique tuesday), friendship stampin wheel (SU), notebook paper and rounded rectangle die (verve)
Finishing touches: paper fashions (klutz), in colour ribbon, beautiful wings embosslits (SU)< buttons, stitching

Wedding card for a friend

A good friend is heading off to her brothers wedding and mentioned that she needed something special so I offered to make her a card. Taking on the challenge is something I love. I started with the idea of creating a dress from my Klutz paper fashions book and I was on a roll. What didn't I use would probably sum it up! I love how it turned out and so did she.

Colours: baja breeze, early espresso, white
Stamps: beautiful things sentiment, praire lane and le chateau (kaiser)
Finishing touches: paper fashions (klutz), fancy tree embossing folder (cuttlebug), rhinestones, white embossing powder, small tag punch, linen thread, bitty buttons and mat pack (SU), faux stitching, praire lane patterned paper (kaiser)

A project long overdue

Whenever I sit down to scrap I usually have a plan about what I am wanting to get done. On this occasion however I managed to get sidetracked onto a pile of things that have been sitting there for a while needing to be looked at. Being me I seem to have creative block when I have piles of unfinished bits especially when they are in sight. So I was able to tick one more thing of the list of to do's. I had made the outfits using my Klutz paper fashion kit, about a year ago for a retreat for goody bags and they were left over. I have been making cards to sell at kindy and wanted to add them to the box. I chose a simple layout and matched up colours with a bit of patterned or embossed paper with a bit of ribbon and I was suprised how quickly they came together. Looking forward to getting back to my projects again.

Been meaning to post

I haven't had a chance to post over the last weeks as the first weeks back in the term are always hectic getting back into routine. I have been busy in my scrapbooking space and completed some layouts and cards. Most of my cards have been for birthdays so I can't spoil the suprise. Here is one I made for a friend. I hadn't made any using my Klutz paper fashion kit for a while and I had fun combining it with the Heidi Grace Chipboard pieces.

Colours: Blush Blossom, Baja Breeze, White
Stamps: Basic Font (Fiskars)
Finishing Touches: Cuttlebug embossing plate -argyle, Heidi Grace chipboard alphabet and borders and tags, Klutz paper fashions kit
