Workspace Wednesday

Well it is Wednesday and it has been some time since I posted a workspace pic.  The idea for Workspace Wednesday came from Marcy Penner and I love the idea of the glimpse into what is currently on my desk, and it gives me motivation to keep working in my creative space.  With lots of room to spread out I am still finding my way using my space.  Loving getting so much done.

So I am not usually one for keeping up with the latest tools but this one has been an exception.  The We R Memory Keepers fuse tool has been out for a little while and the web is a buzz with how people are using it. I was looking at getting one as part of my voucher I had won at Scrapbook.com but realised that the plug couldn't be used in NZ.  It has come to NZ in the last month but the price was high.  It pays to hold out for bargains though.  With it already discounted and a bonus 15% voucher I decided to get one at Spotlight. And I love it.  I am still getting the hang of using it and making sure I have everything I want sorted before putting it together.  Up till now I have been stitching pockets and finding that the ready made ones are never quite right for what I want.  So now I can make them as go.

These pages I added to a layout that I already had with this story

This one I had a real play with adding shaker elements and the extra pamphlets that I had from the date.

Set up for Story Stamps

I really enjoyed the last month's story stamp layouts using a kit that I had put together so I went for it again for the next month.  I subscribe just to the stamp set but there are some great things in the kit that goes with it that can also be purchased.  So this month I went with the colours and themes from the kit to put together my own one.  I added journalling cards, stamps and dies that fit.   Always something to do while waiting for the stamps to arrive.  And usually I am still putting things together and finishing up my last month when it does.

Looking forward to telling more stories with this one.

Story Stamps - Little Moments

The story stamp for May was little things.  This time around I had prepared a kit of favourite colours that started with a purchase of washi tapes that I had got a craft show at the time.  So loving having all my stash sorted so I can go through and pull out bits and pieces for these projects.  Then I headed to my photos and pulled out the different stories that I wanted to tell.

This is one of favourites from this month.  Ali had put together a similar layout and it was fun working with the circles and as she suggested using a pen to recreate the lines that were on the paper that she had used.  It also tells a different story of home rather than a specific event.

I took the chance to do a layout for each of the boys of their little things.  Must go back and look at mine!
