May Stamp club challenge
I have been pretty good about getting my challenges ready ahead of time but this one crept up all too quickly. So with one day to go what was a girl to do? The challenge was to use the Mojo Monday sketch no 136 to create a card. I actually started with my colours which I got from the top that I was wearing at the time. Then picked out some stamps that worked well together. What started out as a simple card actually became a bit more complex as it came together. An interesting result. And I got to use my new tool the i top brad maker. Haven't had as much time to play as I would like.
Colours: kraft, elegant eggplant, tempting turquoise, cameo coral, chocolate chip
Stamps: circle of friendship, vintage labels, oh so lovely, and snow swirled(SU)
Finishing touches: hole punch, scallop circle punch, round tab punch, i top brad maker, bird button, sheer ribbon
Labels:
birthday,
cards,

Mothers Day Cards
I have actually had some time to be creative. I just haven't had the time to blog about it. These were my mothers day cards for this year. I was very pleased at how they turned out. It started with the idea of something simple and grew from there. I pulled out my cuttlebug and found some embossing folders that are not very well used. After a bit of a play with the layout they just needed some finishing touches.
Colours: white, pretty in pink
Stamps: whimsical words (SU)
Finishing touches: embossing folders with love borders and fancy corners (cuttlebug), daxxling diamonds (SU), pearls (kaiser), pink ribbon (celebrate)
